In the following example situations, you should contact vali.now first before doing anything else:
- You receive an email asking you to send money or share sensitive data such as passwords, account access data, or similar.
- You receive a call from someone claiming to be a family member or close friend who needs money immediately (impersonation).
- You are contacted by someone posing as a bank advisor who asks for your login details in order to reset your account.
- You are contacted because there is a security breach that can only be closed if you share your passwords.
- You are contacted by a deepfake, i.e. a synthetic media (video, audio, or image) created using deep learning techniques, typically generative adversarial networks (GANs), to realistically replace or manipulate a person’s likeness or voice in a way that is often indistinguishable from authentic content to the human eye or ear.
